ELDERS:

In 1855 in Salem, Missouri, a group of 20 people. who were called by God and organized by Charles Drennan and David McDonald formed the nucleus of what is now Salem Christian Church.

Though division occurred along the way, on Sunday, January 20, 2002 under the leadership of elders Earl Brown, Ed Carmack, Paul Huitt, Paul Loker, and J.J. Tune, God once again brought unity to this body of believers.

Only God Himself would be able to number all the blessings which He has poured out through this fellowship during the last 162 years.  Yet, today, each one of us could list dozens upon dozens of blessing which we now enjoy because of it.

During the first years after the merger, our most sincere prayer was for Unity, and now with the unity secure our hearts cry out to God for Revival.

Our God is faithful.  He has never let His children down or failed them.  We will continue to look to Him for every blessing in the coming years, until we ourselves are gathered to Him like our faithful brethren before us.

1 Corinthians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
